Text to Speech on Mac

To hear selected text read aloud:

1. On the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
2. Click Accessibility
3. Select Speech.
4. Select the voice that you want to use.
5. Select the “Speak selected text when the key is pressed” check box
6. Then click “Set Key to assign a keyboard shortcut” that you want to use to hear text read aloud.
