Patti began her educational career in community college and earned her B.A. in Spanish, with a minor in Communications, and an M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California. While attending USC, Patti worked with various populations - including student-athletes and underrepresented minorities pursuing STEM degrees. Patti developed a passion for student development, emphasis on intersectionality, and supporting students to navigate their higher education journey.
Before joining UCLA, Patti served for almost 6 years as Lead Specialist for Testing Services for USC’s Office of Student Accessibility Services (OSAS). She oversaw the day-to-day operations of the OSAS Testing Center, including supervising full time staff, managing a caseload of over 500 students, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure appropriate implementation of approved accommodations.
In her free time, Patti enjoys spending time with her family and her Goldendoodle, Maple. She is an avid baker and enjoys sharing sweet treats with her friends, colleagues and family. While Patti’s roots come from Trojan grounds, she is very excited to join the Bruin Family and continue her efforts on disability awareness and educational equity and inclusiveness as a member of the Center for Accessible Education.
