Tony Ferrari is UCLA’s Inaugural Assistive Technology Specialist.
He draws from a wealth of experience helping students with disabilities succeed in college, and is committed to using technology to enhance disabled people’s quality of life and educational outcomes. A champion of technological literacy, Tony provides trainings on the various assistive technology software and devices, and works to identify the most promising AT solutions. Tony is especially passionate about the emerging field of artificial intelligence, and works with start-up founders to create the nation’s most advanced assistive technology program.
Prior to joining The Center for Accessible Education, Tony supported Assistive Technology efforts at Yale University, where he earned his Master’s Degree. Tony holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Dartmouth College and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Summer Venture in Management Program.
Tony is the published author of The Power of Hope: How to Overcome Adversity and Rise to Your Highest Self.He enjoys giving motivational talks to young people, and is an avid supporter of mental health awareness.
Whenever he is not working, Tony enjoys going to opera and supporting causes near to his heart. He previously served on the Board of Project Access and The Yale Effective Altruism Club.
